The Missouri Historical Society Library and Research Center contains many research collections that focus on the St. Louis region, the state of Missouri, the Mississippi and Missouri Valleys, the Louisiana Purchase Territory and the American West. Visitors can use the library and research center to search for information regarding the 1904 World's Fair, archives of the St. Louis Post Dispatch or the Globe Democrat, historical information on the Western fur trade, access the Genealogy records to search for family ancestors, and much more! Research can be done in person, online, by phone or mail. It is operated by the Missouri Historical Society, along with the Missouri History Museum and the Soldiers Memorial Military Museum.
